1.Tujuan Pembelajaran

Pada akhir pembelajaran, siswa dapat merespon makna dalam:

1.         Membaca dengan nyaring dan bermakna teks fungsional pendek berbentuk teks descriptive

2.         Mengidentifikasi berbagai informasi dalam teks fungsional pendek berbentuk teks descriptive

3.         Mengidentifikasi ciri kebahasaan teks fungsional pendek berbentuk teks descriptive

Grand Omega Hotel  “Hospitally is Our Trademark”

                                   

There is a new hotel in my city. It is a four star hotel. It is located downtown.

The hotel is not very big but the architecture is very beautiful. It looks like a classic castle in Europe. According to the brochure, it has 100 roms, a fancy restaurant, complete sports facilities including a swimming pool, tennis court, gym and sauna, there are also a coffe shop and a karaoke room.

            The pictures of the rooms in the brochure are very nice. The rooms looks very nice. The rooms look very comfortable. If they contain a big spring bed with big pillows, a nice sofa, a wardrobe and a television system with programmes from all over the world. The bathroom is very beautiful although it is not very big. It has a bath-tub with hot and cold water so guests can bath in it comfortably.

            The brochure says “Hospitality is our trademark.” The staff of that hotel, from the receptionists, house keepers, and bellboys are traained to be polite and to help guests in any way they can.

A.Kegiatan Pendahuluan

Apersepsi :

·         Greeting

·         Calling the roll

·         Menunjukkan kepada siswa gambar mesjid raya kota langsa dan mengajukan beberapa pertanyaan, yaitu :

Ø  What the picture is?

Ø  Do you ever visit that place?

Ø  How is the size and color of it?

Ø  What is the function of it?

Motivasi :

·           Mengajak siswa untuk memahami isi teks descriptive

         B. Kegiatan Inti

Eksplorasi

Dalam kegiatan eksplorasi, guru:

F Guru membagi siswa menjadi beberapa kelompok. Setiap kelompok terdiri dari 3 orang siswa

F Kelompok dibagi berdasarkan hasil pilihan dari beberapa nama negara yang telah dimasukkan kedalam kotak

F Siswa yang mendapatkan negara yang sama akan duduk bersama dengan teman sekelompoknya

F  Guru membacakan dan mengartikan teks descriptive bersama dengan siswa

F Guru menjelaskan generic structure dan ciri-ciri teks descriptive

F Setiap kelompok harus mampu menuliskan main idea dari teks descriptive yang telah dibaca

F Selanjutnya guru membagikan gambar tempat-tempat terkenal dari seluruh negara yang berbeda kepada setiap kelompok dan mereka di instruksikan untuk mencocokkan gambar tersebut dengan nama dan letak negaranya

F Siswa mendemonstrasikan hasil diskusi di depan kelas yang diwakilkan oleh setiap ketua dari anggota kelompok

C. Kegiatan Penutup

      Dalam kegiatan penutup, guru:

F Mengungkapkan kembali secara bersama-sama generic structure descriptive text

F Mengumpulkan hasil diskusi yang telah mereka kerjakan bersama kelompoknya
